THE FORMER VILLAGE
Series of photographs taken from several sessions between 2016 to 2018 of an abandoned fishing village which the Hong Kong government evicted the inhabitants from their homes in 2011. In the 80s over 2000 people lived in this 250-year old Ma Wan village popular for its seafood restaurants. The families were offered new homes in a nearby village close to a high-rise complex of apartment blocks.
